In a recent episode of "Saturday Night Live", comedian Melissa Villasenor gave her best impression of country singer, Dolly Parton, which Dolly then approved with a Tweet.

Jost had asked her what her favorite Christmas songs were, and Villasenor had answered that "Holly Jolly Christmas" was her favorite and then went on to sing in it with a Dolly Parton twist.
She appeared in a Dolly inspired outfit, with her classic blonde fringed hairdo and a white sparkly blouse. When questioned by the host if she was dressed as Dolly Parton, she said,
“What? No, this is my special Christmas outfit.”
Villasenor offered to sing her favorite songs of the segment and then busted on her very impressive impression of the country vocalist, adding "Oh, I just love Christmas" while still impersonating Dolly.
Her impression ended with her mashing up "Jingle Bells" and Dolly's well-known song "Jolene" which ended up in her singing the beginning of Jingle bells in the tune of the famous song and then breaking into a line of Jolene.
Villasenor had fans commenting on how good her impression of herself was, however, Jost commented that her version of "Jingle Bells" was not how the song went and neither was her version of Jolene right.
Dolly Parton herself approved of the "SNL" comedian's impression of her, and tweeted that it was the best she had ever looked or sound before, she tweeted out,
"I was flattered and I never looked and sounded so good!"
This impression got Dolly's seal of approval. "SNL" casts have been impersonating the singer for years, in fact, four other times by three different people. The first impression of her was by Jane Curtin in 1979.
Dolly has appeared on the show herself, as in April 1989 she hosted the well-known comedic sketch and variety show. The show has been running since 1975.
Most recently, Dolly starred in a Netflix Christmas movie called, "Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square" and while during shooting she saved 9-year-old Talia Hill from being hit by a moving car.
The December 12th episode of "Saturday Night Live" was hosted by Timothee Chalamet and Villasenor was able to break out her brand new impression of Dolly.
