Gervonta Davis JAILED for two months after violating 90-day home detention order after hit-and-run c
Gervonta Davis has been sent to prison for the next two months after violating terms of a sentence which initially saw him avoid jail time.
On May 5, the 28-year-old American lightweight boxing star was sentenced over his hit-and-run crash which injured four people and many expected him to be jailed as a result.
However, after he pled guilty to four traffic offences in a plea deal, he avoided a prison term and was instead been sentenced to 90 days of home detention, three years' probation, plus 200 hours of community service.
Now, not even a month on, Davis has been jailed after all.
On Thursday, June 1, an impromptu hearing was called after he allegedly violated the terms of his house arrest order and he's now been ordered to serve the rest of his 90-day sentence behind bars,
It has not yet been revealed specifically how he violated it

Davis served less than 30 days of his sentence before being sent to jail.
Assuming his 90-day sentence began on the day of sentencing, May 5, Davis will be in prison for just over two months and due for release on August 3.
The hit-and-run incident that the case centres around occurred in November 2020, just days after Davis' impressive KO win over Leo Santa Cruz.
It was alleged that the boxer was driving a Lamborghini Urus SUV at around 1:50am when he ran a red light and struck a Toyota Solara, injuring four people.

In March 2021, Davis was charged with 14 counts of various traffic violations.
Almost two years on, in February of this year, he accepted a plea deal in which he plead guilty to four of these traffic offences, which was followed by his sentencing in May.
Previously, in September 2022, Davis accepted a different plea deal over the charges, but it was rejected by a judge after one of the victims, Jyair Smith, made a passionate speech at the hearing.
Smith explained that she was pregnant when the incident happened and told of how she looked Davis in the eyes and asked him for help before he fled.
She said she was left with a serious knee injury which she is still struggling with now and also had to undergo gall bladder surgery following the incident.
“I begged Mr Gervonta Davis, I looked him in his eyes,” Smith told the court, “I said, ‘I have to get home to my daughter, I’m pregnant.’ He never once came over to help me. He got his things and left.”
Smith’s attorney, Gil Amaral added: “She wants the court to know that she won’t be satisfied with anything other than a period of incarceration in order to make sure this person gets the message.”
Now, Jyair Smith has her wish.
Davis won a huge fight with Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas in late April, but will now not be able to proceed with his career until the latter stages of this year at the earliest.
